A milestone in comics, The Ultimates: Super-Human burst onto the scene in a HUGE way. Released in 2002, Mark Millar re-imagined the Avengers in a way that had never before been considered. Gritty and believable, these characters had an edge to them that was undeniably Millar's trademark with a dark undertone that previous mainstream comics had lacked.
